Meet Daniel
Who inspires you?
Flume, a (23 year old) electronic music producer who changed my thoughts of music completely.
Something you do where time flies.
Messing around while producing electronic music!
If you had 1 question for a genie, what would it be?
Can I have three more wishes?
What brings the best in you?

What’s an ideal day for you?
A hot summer day with a skateboard, music, friends, and blueberries... of course.

THE artist
Why music?
Music has no limits, and it comes with thousands of ways in which the artist can express him/herself.
What are your songs about? (What specific themes do they cover?)
My songs aren’t generally made up of specific themes or ideas, If I like how it sounds, I like how it sounds.
What genre of music do you consider your work to be? Who are your major influences?
I consider my work to fall into the trap and house genre. My major influences are Flume, Aluna George, and XXYYXX.
Where have you performed? Do you have any upcoming shows planned?
I have previously performed in my own room to friends, although I have a live performance planned to take place at school very very soon!
What has been your biggest challenge? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?
My biggest challenge has been learning how to use professional equipment and software in order to create appealing songs. Presently, I’m in the process of overcoming this challenge by taking weekly private lessons with a local producer!
Describe a moment where music changed you.
When I first heard You & Me remixed by Flume.
What are currently your main artistic challenges?
Right now, I’m facing challenges in the process of creating a good bass line, one of the most important parts in an electronic song.
What inspires you?
A heavy drop.
What do you want people to know about your music?
It’s not just pressing buttons.
What is your objective by the end of the school year?
To create a piece which falls into the Trap category that sounds professional. Also, I would like to change people’s opinions about electronic music.
